Poetry for thought

Title: Reality

I am feeling sexual today,
Also angry,
Also sad,
And mostly confused.
I want to smell your sweat,
Dripping off my forehead,
While I find that spot
Under your left breast.

I want to unravel this,
Erase all memory of us,
While I slowly break down
Into this pool of angry mess.
Tears well up,
Crawl through my fingertips,
While I try to find a breath
And fail.

The imagination of your left breast,

Thoughts of our tangled feet,
While I slowly wipe away the reality
Off my forehead…
Wait,
Which is real?

The anger? The tears?
The sweat that appears suddenly
On my palms,
Which is real?

I hold my face in my hands,
Not just hold, but grip,
Which is real?
And I try to grab the imagination
To blend it with this sad and angry reality.

Forms merge, order becomes chaos,
Chaos becomes breathing,
Breathing.
Breathing.
Breathing.
Is it me? Is it you?
Chaos, calm,
Earth shattering,
And then.
The shush.

Flashes of my hands shaking,
My lips searching,
My anger brewing,
Eyes closing, sunlight burning,
Moonlight calming.

Flashes, flashes,
Lines blur,
Breathing.
Breathing.
In. out. In. out.

Stay still, maybe now we’ll know
Which is real.

Poetry for thought

Day 14

The last of the everyday writing challenge. Let me know what you think:

Title: End

It’s like a tug of war between us,
You want me to talk, spill everything,
Expect me to stay naked,
To almost discard my flesh.

Heart, blood, bones, muscles,
Exposed to you,
Thoughts, dreams, fears, tears,
Lying on the floor.

I didn’t know you then,
I don’t know you now,
But you know me, my everything,
Is this good for us, me not knowing you?

This war must end, either I stay naked,
Let the whiplash do its magic,
Or the let the silence make the decision we can't,
Whatever comes in the end, this now we have was the best.

Poetry for thought

Day 8 - 31 March 2016

This is a little all over the place. I started with one feeling and ended up with a lot more. Some times even words feel frustrated.

Title: And me, you

I have never done this before.

Did you hear about me in the wind?
When did you breach the walls of my wounds?

I have your voice in my head.
Your laugh.

My phone doesn't ring with your name.
I am forgetting how your name looks on my cracked phone screen.
Maybe, just maybe, that is a good thing.

I am slowly letting go of the urge to call you.
But it comes back; pulls me in; and it takes all of me to not call you.

I say I miss you.

I almost spill the words that will mean guilt to you,
And peace to me.

And all you say is - And me, you.

3ww: Week 465 (Writing Prompt): Tearful, Unsteady, Abrasive

It seems I always run back to Three Word Wednesday when I begin to revive this blog. So here is this week's writing prompt.

Title: Abrasive

Abrasive.
You are abrasive,
Your words dance between lullabies
And, and….abrasive.
You are unsteady,
You make me feel loved
And hated all at once.
How do you do that?
Make me feel safe yet vulnerable.
Words do not make sense,
But the word abrasive fits
Like a glove.
I stand in front of you,
You look at me and
I cannot stop the tears.
Tearful,
You make me tearful and
I lose my ground.
How do you do that?
Make me feel strong yet so weak.
Like a glove it fits,
That word, that one word
Slips between us and stays.

We are abrasive,
Our legs unsteady and
Our hearts tearful.
How do you do that?
Make it real when it isn’t.
How do you do that?
Makes our hearts scream and not our mouths.
How?
