Title: Once upon a time

Once upon a time
Impartial was a word used right.
Once upon a time
Unconditional was a word used wrong.

Now, we try to remember
New words, to replace old feelings.
Now, too much has happened
And we have forgotten.

Words, words, words
Glimmer and die a slow death.
And our eyes are left screaming
And exploding with unsaid words.

What do you do now?
What do we do?
Remember to forget
Or forget to remember?

Once upon a time
We had finesse,
Once upon a time
Our words weren't fatal.

Once upon a time
The end was a rarity,
And today,
Once upon a time is a rarity.

Title: We need each other

you, yes you,
in the shades of my endless mind,
you need a cure.

crude versions of you
open the doors
that should remain shut.

yes, shut,
not closed, but shut,
not unopened, but shut.

you think i am arrogant,
yes, you do,
for not laughing at your jokes.

for not crying enough,
for not saying enough,
but, don't you know nothing is enough?

tried and tested,
now i am tired,
crass and filthy.

loud and unhappy,
dreamy and frittering away,
and just plain stagnant.

but you, the awkward
yet supple you,
i need your screams.

maybe this insanity
is sanity,
just you and me.

your versions,
against mine,
limitless possibilities, you see.

but today, today,
i want to shut you out,
and make merry.

just for today,
tomorrow,
we can.

poetry for thought

title: one year

sometimes, just when the sky meets the water,
some other times, when the water meets the sun,
i see you.
i see you staring back at me,
staring back at him,
staring back at her.
sometimes, just when the music hits your skin,
some other times, when the skin hits the knife,
i see.
i see your eyes,
your skin,
your heart.
sometimes, just when the song makes you scream,
some other times, when the scream makes you moan,
i don't see you.
i don't see your smile,
i don't see you,
but i see us.
sometimes, just sometimes, it makes sense,
some other times, i wonder why,
and it stops.

burn

burn my skin,
burn my hair,
burn through my clothes,
and do it again.

its time

the summer is taking a break today. cloudy skies envelope our little world.

the winds carry songs and laughter. the rain is coming. a little surprise for our heated bodies.
a well appreciated surprise. who cares what tomorrow is going to feel like.

today it will rain. if not, these winds and clouds soothe the heart.

i love the rains and all that it brings along!

update

updates have been slow. considering i am in detention at office, opening any blog page seems an utter waste.

i learnt a new game in time i was away, thanks to ben and aj for teaching us and smita for taking me along.
name of game: unknown, however, ben and aj call it 5, 10, 15, 20. which is literally the whole game in the name. fun times.

i was a s*'s "little lamb" for yesterday. thanks to lu, we now know a place where smoking is as legal as it can be. thanks lu.

its all a stand still.
the longest pause on a song you have never heard, eager to hear, but it has been paused.
pause, pause, pause...

musically torn,
mentally drained,
physically useless,
i have successfully lost myself in all the mess.

my room is no more my life. this new room doesn't console or council me anymore.
sleepless, sleepless and disturbed.

but, if you ask me what's wrong, i can't give you an answer.
i just can't. there is nothing monumentally going wrong in my life at all.
nothing is happening.

maybe that's the problem.

dreams surface, soar and die in minutes.

"....this too shall pass..", hopefully.

thanks to all the people who are still around. thanks for laughing, talking, being silent, dancing, drinking, smiling :)

these are the people who have kept me going, in their own little ways. thank you for that :)
